Gidday All,

For what it's worth, when I flicked the belt drive from the Raftor rebuild we decided to use the same clutch pulley attached through a right angled gearbox and drive that from the alternator belt. 150 hours so far and still going strong.

The cable drive could easily be replaced with a shaft drive as the unit is fitted to the front of the engine so it is almost directly below the bendix. The old RAF cable drive had to be reduced in length in order to fit. A conical or cone clutch system would be better from all accounts but that setup is fitted to Russ baby's limo which is not ready for testing yet.

I can send photos next week if you want as I'm off the earn a quid tomorrow.

Waddles.

Never seen the wunderlick type Angus, but i know the raf ones are [nearly]  bullet proof and hava propa clutch instead ofa friction wheel setup, and generaly get better rpms.

Gess Bomes could do it propa and get a clutch for the wunderlick one. Cheesy

There ya go Bones, dont say i dont give ya nuthn. Smiley
